Cristina Fernandez reaffirmed Argentine claim to the United Kingdom Falkland Islands

Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez on Monday restated complaint "inalienable and irrevocable" of their country by the Falkland Islands and asked the United Kingdom agree to negotiate the sovereignty of the archipelago by the two nations fought a war in 1982.
"There is a colonial enclave situation here reported to the United Nations and it's back to fulfilling the mandate of the same United Nations, which we all belong, "he said during his first speech after taking over as ruler.
Speaking before the Legislature at the seat of Parliament where was the band's agent and the baton from the hands of her husband, outgoing President Nestor Kirchner, Fernandez referred to the UK as "the occupier" of the Falklands.
"I want to reaffirm once again our claim irrevocable and Our unwavering sovereignty over Malvinas Islands ", said the president in one of the most celebrated sections of his speech.
The United Kingdom occupied the islands South Atlantic in 1833 and since then Argentina has claimed sovereignty of the islands, which were contested in 1982 during a war between two nations that caused 649 deaths in the ranks in the Argentine and 255 British and involved the rupture of diplomatic relations resumed in 1990.
