which involved representatives of 40 municipalities that implement this device of direct democracy.
Giving by the activities started, and after honoring the memory of former President Nestor Kirchner, Parliamentary Relations Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers, Oscar Gonzalez, highlighted the relevance of these mechanisms protagonist democracy, coinciding with social inclusion policies applied by the national government.
The opening ceremony was chaired also by Secretary of Municipal Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, Kelly Olmos, Undersecretary of Institutional Relations of the Cabinet of Ministers, Walter Covers and the representative of UNICEF, Ennio Cufino. Also attended by representatives of networks of participatory budgeting in Brazil and the Dominican Republic, as well as the mayor of the city of Reconquista.
Objectives of the meeting
Strengthen the exchange of experiences between the municipalities of Argentina or planning to apply implement participatory budget.
provide tools for reflection and action to improve practices in municipalities implementing participatory budget.
Argentina Strengthen Participatory Budget Network through the incorporation of new municipalities, universities and other stakeholders.

, who participated as speaker in the table on "Reflections on Citizen Participation and Public Policies"
. There stated, about the experience of Participatory Budgeting Programme, Strategic Plan and Claims Management Center, plans implemented in our district since 2009.
